All right guys so I'm gonna talk about some productivity hacks that myself as a startup founder in tech as used to produce beneficial results so the first thing is that I want you to know that in the first few years of building my startup I used to be very busy but not productive and there's a big difference between the two concepts so here's what actually moved the needle for me the first thing that I realized that it was extremely important to protect my mornings it's almost like your equity in a startup no slacks no emails nothing before at least 7 AM the first two hours for me are deep work that's when I realized that I write better I build better and I think better in the first two hours everything else can wait the second thing that I realize was that it became extremely important for me to start batching my decisions so a lot of people miss this but it's important to understand that as a founder decision fatigue is real and it creeps up on you so I started the batch the small stuff so I started to batch you know little calls and meetings into one window and hiring into another window researching into a third window so I started to batch my activities into maybe two hour blocks that's been that's when I started to become a little bit more productive instead of scattered work flux and that's when I started to realize that my brain is now free to focus on the decisions that actually matter the third thing is time blocking which guys it is non-negotiable your time is everything so now I don't have a to-do list anymore I hate those to begin with but if something matters to me it gets a calendar calendar slot if not it doesn't if it doesn't fit on the calendar well it can either wait or it's just not as important for me to even exist before it to exist in my schedule and the last thing is the ruthless meetings so before I go into any meeting or before I get on a call with my team or potential users and clients I ask myself one quick question is this going to be a waste of time and the second question I asked myself is that what's the most important thing that I want out of this meeting and nine out of 10 times it's usually a waste of time but not if I'm able to find that one thing that I actually wanna achieve because that's gonna drive me to produce better results from that meeting and I think that's a better use of your time to be honest so here's the truth that nobody will tell you your job as a founder is not to do more it's actually to protect the hours that actually help you build a company because you only have so many hours in a day so at the end of the day it's super important to stay focused shit fast and guard your time like your runway depends on because let's be honest a lot of founders aren't rich and they're probably hanging onto their last dollar so before you run out of the last dollar it's important to realize how do most efficiently use your time to get the most out of it because honestly your runway does depend on how productively you ship and continue to grow your company I hope this helps
